The puffins took my breath away…one of the many stunning creatures on the remote island of Lunga off the coast of Scotland. I was mesmerized as the colorful little birds flew above the water and landed on the grassy cliffs overlooking the north Atlantic Sea. They were busily completing their nesting burrows, readying a home for their future offspring.
As I watched the birds and listened to the symphony of nature sounds, I could feel the power of the life force…that loving energy that forwards life no matter the adversity.
And as I sat quietly in the sun, I was overwhelmed with feelings of wonder and connection and gratitude.
Such a gift this Scotland adventure has been. They say travel changes you, and I’m certain that’s true. I suspect that in time those changes will become clearer.
So as I reluctantly begin to say good-bye to Scotland, I express my gratitude to all who have supported me, both in the seen and unseen worlds.
And I can’t help but smile, knowing in my heart that I will someday return…
