I thought my Scotland story was complete. But as I looked through my photos last evening, I did a double take…an upside down puffin.
Perhaps this colorful little bird was offering a clue as I was leaving the Isle of Lunga. A clue about the journey and moving forward.
Now that I’ve returned home and have begun to reacclimate to my everyday existence, I realize I’m not able to pick up exactly where I left off. I suspect the adventure has changed me in ways I can’t quite conceive of yet.
So I’ll be patient, and take each moment as it comes. And when my days feel uncomfortable or amazing or uncertain, I’ll remember that my life has been turned upside down. Just like the puffin.
And I’m good with that…
