My heart smiled when I spotted this little gosling and her siblings in a stream. Under the watchful eye of her goose parents, she exuded confidence. She boldly explored her surroundings...no fear, no hesitation.
As I watched the charming goose family, I was reminded of how quickly life passes. Though just days old, the goslings were already paddling around and foraging for food. And in a short time, they’d be fully grown and flying with their flock.
I was struck by how quickly my life was moving as well. And I wondered if I’ve been living a bit too cautiously and perhaps missing opportunities for growth and joy and aliveness.
Maybe the fearless goslings were a reminder that life is short. I suspect it’s time to be more open to what life is offering. And to say yes more often than no.
Something for me to ponder…
