He spent a long while preening…a beautiful sandhill crane.
As I watched him, I realized animals in the natural world don’t overdo. They pace themselves, taking time for self-care and rest.
In our everyday world we’re encouraged to push ourselves, to do more, to strive. And our worth is measured by our achievements. I suspect that’s not the case in the natural world.
And I had a wondering. What if life isn’t about accomplishments?
What if it’s about discovering our authentic selves? And enjoying who we’re designed to be. And loving everyone and everything, no matter the circumstance.
Something to ponder…inspired by a lovely sandhill crane.
