My heart always beats a little faster when I see eagles. There’s something about their majestic presence as they glide across the sky. Yesterday I spotted this beautiful raptor perched in a tree, watching from high above.
Eagles are the most powerful of the birds of prey and, to me, they’re a wonderful model of how to live. They use their strength and power in a wise and measured way…only to feed and protect, never to intimidate or to dishonor or to frighten.
Respectful and honoring of their natural home, they listen to the Earth’s whispers for guidance.
And like all animals, they take only what they need, living in harmony with their surroundings.
As a human living in a world where strength and power are often misunderstood and misused, I take comfort in the natural world.
And today, I look to the skies and smile, grateful for the inspiration…
