The scene took my breath away…spiderwebs everywhere, clinging to branches and leaves and bushes. Amazingly surreal.
As I stood on the hill, I grinned, so delighted that the Earth had decorated for Halloween. So eerie and spooky and beautiful. As a child, I loved Halloween. The creative costumes crafted from our imaginations, and the candy, and trick-or-treating on dark streets, guided only by flashlights and dim streetlamps…I loved it all.
As I gazed at the beautiful webs, I was transported back to that innocent time when life was a glorious adventure. When I knew dreams came true and I unabashedly believed in magic.
I’m certain those magical aspects remain within me, carefully cradled with my deepest hopes and dreams. I still believe this life is a wondrous journey.
And I’m grateful to the Earth for the magical reminder…
