Each day I’m here, I slip further into the magic of Scotland. Yesterday I was guided by a lovely young woman with deep Celtic roots. I sat on the bank of a stream under the Fairy Bridge, enthralled by legends of fairies and castles and clans and lost love and an ancient, tattered fairy flag that remains proudly displayed at Dunvegan Castle.
Bathed in the extraordinary light of Skye, I was riveted.
And later, as I sat quietly watching the water bubble over the colorful stones, I realized that my concept of reality had shifted a bit. Who’s to say what’s real? Perhaps this adventure is opening my mind and heart to possibilities beyond my ordinary existence. And with that thought came deep feelings of excitement and joy and aliveness.
Tomorrow I turn another page in the storybook as I travel to the Isle of Iona.
And the adventure continues…
