His feathers resembled a colorful cape, protecting him from the brisk morning breeze. This beautiful kestrel appeared warm and cozy despite the frosty temperatures.
I’ve read that birds use their own body heat to warm the air between their feathers. Then they fluff themselves up to trap the air, staying comfortable.
I’m continually amazed by nature’s perfect design. A testament to a natural intelligence beyond our human thinking.
Over time, we’ve lost our connection to the Earth’s nuances and natural guidance. We’re just beginning to understand how Her nature operates in an impeccably harmonious and brilliant manner when allowed to flow freely.
Perhaps on that chilly morning, the kestrel was a promise of renewal…a reawakening of an ancient alliance between humans and our beloved Earth.
