One sunny day last week, I spotted this lovely dragonfly resting on a plant. Dragonflies fascinate me…so colorful and beautifully patterned. They begin their lives as eggs, and then transform into nymphs, living in water for several years.
When they finally emerge as adult dragonflies they have only weeks or months to live until it’s time to leave the planet. So few moments to enjoy their lives after earning their wings…
As I watched this beautiful insect, I realized that dragonflies remind me that life is short. So it’s important to fly as often as possible, to rest when you must, and to fully embrace each and every experience.
I say thank you to the dragonfly for the reminder that every moment is a precious gift…
