Thich Nhat Hanh once mused, ‘You can only serve the cause of peace when you have some peace within yourself.’ I thought about that as I watched this beautiful dragonfly resting on a plant.
And I realized that peace is what I’m continually seeking.
I recognize that it isn’t a permanent state. It exists in fleeting moments, sometimes gone before I even notice it’s there.
It can be found anywhere at any time…in an animal’s beautiful eyes, in a forest, in a summer garden, in a stranger’s smile.
On that beautiful summer afternoon, I relished a moment of peace…shared with a lovely dragonfly.
A moment to treasure...
