As I often do, I started my morning wandering in the natural world, my antidote to feelings of overwhelm and anxiety. And I took a deep breath, grateful for the relief.
I watched this lovely pied-billed grebe floating on a lake, barely creating a ripple. So much peace and quiet as dawn broke across the sky.
And I remembered a quotation from Vincent Van Gogh, ‘There is peace even in a storm.’
I suspect that peacefulness is an aspect of our true nature. And perhaps the natural world mirrors it, giving us a glimpse of who we truly are.
For a brief time that morning, I felt it, that deep sense of tranquility.
And I relished the experience…
