I spotted this beautiful owl near a dilapidated old barn the other day. I watched him for a while, and he graciously allowed me to take his photograph.
I was surprised to see an owl in the daylight. Mystified, I went home and researched.
I learned that this lovely creature is a burrowing owl, known for nesting in burrows on grasslands. This owl is active during the day, but hunts at night using its strong night vision.
I was struck by the fact that this owl has the ability to see clearly in the light and the dark…the idea triggered a thought.
What if I could see clearly in the dark…I mean see clearly in my dark and challenging times. Instead of getting caught in the drama and emotions, what if I consciously paused and reflected? Maybe I could gain the insights and learning in that moment, and then take right action instead of reacting.
What a shift that would be...
