I noticed this charming little squirrel snatching acorns from the ground, munching on some, and burying others. His various acorn caches would provide food for another day, while the nuts buried but forgotten may sprout into oak trees.
Aristotle once said, ‘Nature does nothing without purpose.’ I’m endlessly amazed by the perfection of the Earth. Every purposeful action serves to assure the perpetuation of life. To me, there’s so much mystery surrounding the design and interconnectedness of all the Earth’s beings.
Left alone, the Earth knows exactly what She’s doing. And as I wander, I’m grateful when She sometimes reveals Her secrets.
I love a good mystery…
