300 million years. That’s how long dragonflies have existed on our planet. Amazing…
They begin their lives as eggs and transform into nymphs, living in water for several years. And when they finally achieve adulthood, most live for only a few weeks.
As I watched this beautiful dragonfly rest, I had a thought. Perhaps he was a reminder that my time to fly is limited.
And maybe it’s time to re-imagine how I want to live my life. Fearful and protective, focused on safety and security? Or open-hearted and loving, trusting that all is possible and life is meant to be a grand adventure?
Something for me to ponder…inspired by a lovely dragonfly.
