How do they do it? How do birds construct such intricate yet sturdy nests?
I thought about that as I watched this lovely barn swallow carry small bits of grass in her beak. Bit by bit, piece by piece, she was building a cozy home for her eggs.
I envied the simplicity of it all. No trips to the home improvement store. No need for furniture or appliances or carpeting.
I recognize that living in a bird nest isn’t very practical for me. But perhaps I could let go of some of the unnecessary things cluttering my nest.
Over the years, I’ve parted with many things, but I still have much more than I need. Why do I hold on to so many things?
I suspect it’s time for more letting go…
