Not long ago, I had the opportunity to wander far from home. And I encountered this iguana…so unique, so colorful. And I had a thought.
Even though he looked quite different from me, his needs were similar to mine. Food, water, shelter, safety, acceptance, companionship...the list is endless.
What if we recognized that we’re all more alike than different? And what if we treated each other as family, regardless of species, or place of origin, or beliefs, or language, or appearance?
I imagine a world in which every being matters, and everyone belongs.
In my heart of hearts, I know it’s possible…
