This kestrel allowed me within 10 feet of him before flying off. I was amazed. I had never seen a kestrel up close before, and didn't know much about them.
A naturalist friend shared that kestrels are birds of prey, and are the smallest of the falcons. He told me that he has seen kestrels boldly chase much larger birds. What a fearless act, I say.
As I watched this kestrel perched on a sign, a thought crossed my mind. Did this bird appear as a reminder to live fearlessly?
I know it’s not possible to live completely without fear. Fear is an aspect of our humanness. Maybe fearlessness is feeling your fears, but not letting them stop you.
I suspect the universe is telling me it's time to take some chances in my life...I'm ready.
