I’ve seen river otters only a handful of times, but each time was very delightful. One morning a couple of weeks ago, I watched them swimming and floating on their backs enjoying their breakfast.
After breakfast a chase game began, and much otter laughter ensued. With some pushing and shoving, the otter in the picture was the first to reach the log. His otter friends were quick to forgive him, and off they all went down the river.
There’s something so appealing about otters. They’re inquisitive, carefree, irrepressible, and full of fun. Their rambunctious nature reminds me of young children…overflowing with joy and excitement.
There’s nothing like otter antics to reignite your enthusiasm for life.
