I spotted this little song sparrow carrying a beak full of dried grasses. I suspected she might be repairing her nest after her babies had hatched and fledged.
And I smiled as I realized that home repair isn’t limited to the human world. Animals have this chore as well. In fact we share many daily activities…like finding food, and water, and shelter, and social interaction.
As the sparrow disappeared into the brush, I wished her well with her house project.
And I was once again reminded that, despite our outward appearance, we’re all much more alike than different.
What a good reminder…
