I grinned as I watched this Steller’s jay emerge from his bath. Feathers askew, he shook off the water droplets.
As I studied him, I had a thought. Animals intuitively know when it’s time to care for themselves, and they stop everything to attend to their physical needs.
Our human bodies also have an innate intelligence. They’re designed to let us know what they need in order to operate optimally.
I recognize that I can take my physicality for granted, sometimes overlooking the signals that care is needed.
I suspect it’s important to pay more attention. After all we’re allotted only one physical body that must last an entire lifetime.
