I spotted this beautiful spiderweb in a forest yesterday. The sunlight reflected off the delicate lines and patterns, highlighting the intricate symmetry…natural art worthy of a gallery showing.
As I studied the amazing creation, I recalled that spiders spin a new web each evening. Soon this lovely structure would be consumed by the spider, and a new design begun. How sad, my mind judged. What a waste, it seemed, as all that effort would be destroyed.
Then a thought struck me. Perhaps the spider was on to something…something important. Maybe he was sharing wisdom beyond my pragmatic human thinking.
What would it be like to create newly each day? Old patterns and ideas erased, making space to begin life anew.
Such an interesting prospect…to consciously release the old and redesign life each day.
Something for me to ponder.
And I say thank you to the spider for the inspiration…
