I was fascinated to watch a spider spin a web in my back yard. He quickly linked each segment together, producing a work of art. As I marveled at his meticulous precision and amazing creativity, I had a thought.
I recently learned that spiders spin a new web each day. I suspect that this spider wasn’t lamenting the fact that yesterday’s web was gone, nor was he fretting that he’d have to go through the same construction process tomorrow and the next day and the next day. And he wasn’t worried that other spiders might spin better webs than his.
He simply listened to the whispers of the Earth, and did what he was designed to do. Each day a new start, with no regrets about the past and no worries about the future.
I'm grateful for the spider wisdom...
