Dreamer

Rainbows…they inspire poetry and songs and all things magical. This lovely one lit up the sky and captured my imagination.

I suspect rainbows are a gift from the Earth, designed to awaken the dreamer within us. It’s the dreamer who knows that light is there even among the darkest clouds. And this deep-hearted part of ourselves can join with others to create with just a thought.

Perhaps our dreamer selves will imagine into reality the world we desire…a world filled with love and compassion and endless possibilities.

As the rainbow began to fade, I smiled…grateful to have touched the dreamer within.

Hope

I glanced up and there it was. A rainbow stretching across the sky…so beautiful. I’ve heard scientific explanations for rainbows, but in my heart I believe they’re gifts from the Earth.

Perhaps Her reminder that life’s dark clouds eventually pass, and that reality is well beyond what we see with our human eyes.

To me rainbows represent hope…that full-bodied feeling that calms my human self and awakens the deep-hearted part of me that knows all is well.

As I gazed in wonder, I smiled and breathed deeply for the first time in a long while.

And in that moment, I was filled with hope…

Enchantment

It feels like a dream. I arrived yesterday on the Isle of Skye in Scotland. With my jet lag behind me, I’ve begun to explore this beautiful place.

There’s something about Skye. Lovely people, abundant nature and wildlife, stunning scenery. But it’s more than that. For me, it feels a bit surreal…enchantment is in the air.

My human mind would love to know what this adventure is all about, but my heart is willing to allow things to unfold in their own time.

I’m reminded of a quotation by the writer, Henry Miller, ‘One’s destination is never a place, but rather a new way of seeing things.’

I suspect there’s much more to come…
